At Royal SMIT, everything revolves around customization. As an 'engineering-to-order' organization, we design transformers that fully meet our customers' specific requirements. Our engineering team plays a crucial role in this.

Every transformer and coil starts in the Engineering Department. Here we combine advanced tools such as 3D CAD systems, E-plan and our in-house developed software with innovative design rules. With a team of about 65 colleagues, we convert customer specifications into smart, optimized designs. The design process is primarily customized, with a strong focus on customer orientation, optimization, standardization and cost efficiency.
