About us

At Royal Smit Transformers B.V. (RST), we are active in the market of Large Power Transformers (LPT). Since 1913 we operate a production facility in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) where we manufacture our LPTs, which are the largest by size and voltage (up to 765 kV). We install, commission and service these LPT’s around the world. In 2021 we employed approximately 700 staff in Nijmegen.


RST is part of the SGB-SMIT Group, the transformer specialist from Europe. SGB-SMIT Group stands for professionalism, experience, technological know-how, reliability and economic efficiency. With approximately 3,500 employees in total, the group develops and manufactures power transformers ranging from 50 kVA to 1,200 MVA, and voltages up to 765 kV.


About the position

At our production facility in Nijmegen, the F&A team is responsible for all financial operations, divided into a Business Control team and an Accounting team.


The Manager Business Control shares the responsibility for the organization's economic and financial performance. You manage a team of 5 well trained professionals and together you coordinate the financial planning processes, perform financial analysis and provide support in the design and implementation of the overall business plan. At business control, we believe that entrepreneurship combined with data-driven management information leads to the best decisions and outcomes for RST.


You report directly to the CFO of RST and you work closely together with a range of department heads within RST such as Sales, Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, etc. You also work closely together with your peers at SGB- SMIT Group level in Regensburg (Germany).

Functievereisten

What you should bring

  • A Bachelor / Master degree in Business economics / Business Administration or comparable;
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in a similar position including 5 years or more in a managerial role;
  • Experience preferably in a manufacturing / production environment;
  • Experience in SAP;
  • Good overall command of the English language, proficiency in the German language is a plus but not strictly required.
